The last eight semi-detached houses at The Cloisters, in Clane, Co Kildare, go on sale this weekend priced from £155,950. This a small scheme of 32 four-bedroom houses constructed by Cornerstone Ltd at the Dublin end of the village and within easy reach of the railway station at Sallins and the motorway to the city.

Viewers will have a choice of two distinctly different house styles. Prices for both designs range from £155,950 up to £159,000 and in both cases the living space runs to 1,340 sq ft. Exteriors are full brick to the front, with a tiled overhang over the bay window.

The traditional-style house has a sittingroom with standard timber and cast-iron fireplace, separate diningroom, downstairs lavatory and an oak kitchen. There is an attractive window-seat under the bay window in the sittingroom.

Two of the four bedrooms upstairs are doubles, all have fitted wardrobes and the main bedroom is en suite. The alternative house design is modern, with a minimalist steel-framed fireplace and wall niches is the sittingroom. The large open-plan kitchen/diningroom has a recessed ceiling and simple Shaker-style units.

There is an optional conservatory with this design and the smallest bedroom has been fitted out as an upstairs office in the showhouse. The bathroom has optional glassblock walls.

In an unusual departure, buyers will be free to chose from a variety of additional design features (at extra cost) specially created for the scheme by Grace O'Brien Interiors.
