DUBLIN 7:FROM €450,000 :A NEW SCHEME of eight apartments on the doorstep of Dublin Institute of Technology's (DIT) planned Grangegorman campus are priced from €320,000.
Grangegorman Court in Dublin 7 is on Grangegorman Lower, a stone's throw from the new DIT campus which is proposed for the 74-acre St Brendan's Psychiatric Hospital site north of Smithfield.
All of DIT's faculties and offices, which are currently spread across the city, will be relocated to Grangegorman when complete.
DIT expects that 70 per cent of staff and students (25,000 students and 2,000 staff) will be on site by 2014.
Two-beds with 62sq m (667sq ft) cost from €320,000. Larger two-beds with 75sq m (807sq ft) cost from €340,000.
A two-bed penthouse with 95sq m (1,023sq ft) of space and a roof garden costs €400,000 and a three-bed penthouse of similar size is also €400,000.

Like many new homes schemes coming to the market, the developer at Grangegorman Court, Liam P O'Farrell, has installed a relatively high spec for what is essentially a starter home scheme.
