As I write, the sun is shining brightly and the temperature creeping up a little. It will soon be time to get out the garden chairs and table and crack open a bottle of rosé. SuperValu has a rosé promotion running, so this week, two wines to celebrate the onset of summer. Both are celebrity wines, made in collaboration with New Zealand company Invivo.

Graham Norton New Zealand Rosé 2021, Invivo
12.5% abv, €10 (reduced from €15.99), SuperValu
From an unspecified blend of grapes from Marlborough, Hawke’s Bay and Gisbourne this is an attractive wine with tangy fresh wild strawberries, red cherries with a crisp dry finish. A good aperitif or with mildly spicy prawns or smoked salmon.

Invivo SJP Sarah Jessica Parker Sud de France Rosé 2021
12% abv, €15, SuperValu
Sarah Jessica Parker went for a French rosé, labelled as Sud de France. It is made in collaboration with a family estate in Provence. Vibrant and fruity, it is well-made with raspberries, cranberries and herbs. Perfect solo, with summer salads and salmon dishes.
