Everything is coming up rosé for Graham Norton and Sarah Jessica Parker in SuperValu

Wines for the Weekend: Check out these summery celebrity wines

It will soon be time to get out the garden chairs and table and crack open a bottle of rosé.

As I write, the sun is shining brightly and the temperature creeping up a little. It will soon be time to get out the garden chairs and table and crack open a bottle of rosé. SuperValu has a rosé promotion running, so this week, two wines to celebrate the onset of summer. Both are celebrity wines, made in collaboration with New Zealand company Invivo.

Graham Norton New Zealand Rosé 2021, Invivo

12.5% abv, €10 (reduced from €15.99), SuperValu

From an unspecified blend of grapes from Marlborough, Hawke’s Bay and Gisbourne this is an attractive wine with tangy fresh wild strawberries, red cherries with a crisp dry finish. A good aperitif or with mildly spicy prawns or smoked salmon.
