While this summer will see an inevitable reduction in the number of big shows and fests, there are some musical reasons to go outdoors. Live in the Park takes place in Donard Park (“resting at the foot of the Mourne Mountains and lying alongside the Glen River” per the press release), but all eyes will be on the stage for a line-up of top-drawer acts.

A rejuvenated Prodigy are the big draw, the band currently on yet another wave of popularity thanks to new album, Invaders Must Die.Among the others heading to Co Down today is Canadian electronic wizard Deadmau5, who has been gaining much love for tracks such as Faxing Berlin and Not Exactly. Aside from the mau5head-wearing spinner, there will also be live sets from Irish acts the Japanese Popstars and Noize Control plus Hot Chip and BBC Radio One Kiwi import Zane Lowe in DJ mode.
