Business has been asked to participate in Children's Hour, a fundraising campaign to benefit children's charities.

All workers are being asked to donate one hour's salary to the scheme and donations can be given to the Children's Hour Account, AIB, 37 Upper O'Connell Street, Dublin 1. Or by calling 1850 331 12 99. Each week a different sector is being asked to participate and this week the project kicks off today with the motor trade including garages, petrol stations and taxis. It continues next week with the construction industry.

The Government's National Millennium Committee, the ICTU and IBEC are all supporting the project.
