Wiwe: A credit card-sized heart monitor that travels with you

Tech Tools: Clinical-grade results available in less than a minute

Plenty of devices will help monitor your heart rate with clinical-grade results, but how many will fit in your wallet? The Wiwe is a credit-card-sized cardiac monitor that connects to your smartphone to help keep an eye on your heart’s performance. The accompanying app will identify any problems with your heart rate that could indicate a stroke or heart attack, with colour-co-ordinated risk assessment to make it easier to spot problems. The €289 device also checks blood oxygen levels. All you do is put your thumbs on the sensors, and in one minute you have your results.
