IN A week when Swine Flu was the latest crisis to buffet the airline industry, there was some good cheer for Michael O’Leary’s Ryanair.
The low-cost carrier picked up the gong for best investor relations roadshows at Investor Magazine’s IR awards bash at Davy’s offices in Dawson Street yesterday.
Ryanair deputy chief executive Howard Miller stepped up to collect the prize, displaying some of his boss’s natural wit and irreverence.
“I’m sorry Michael [O’Leary] couldn’t be here today to pick up the award but he’s in Mexico handing out Strepsils.”
