SuperValu store for €11.6m

CORK agent Cohalan Downing is seeking €1.6 million for the former SuperValu store at Springfort Retail Park in Nenagh, Co Tipperary, which is to be sold on the instructions of a receiver.

Declan Sexton of the selling agents, said the six-year-old store with a floor area of 1,950sq m (21,000sq ft) was in a turnkey condition and ready for a new retail operator to move in and start trading. The premises was fitted out to a very high standard with suspended ceilings, air conditioning, recessed strip lighting anda CCTV system.

Docklands blocks 'excellent'

THE OFFICE blocks developed by Chartered Land at Grand Canal Square in Dublin’s south docklands have recently achieved an “excellent” rating from the BREEAM Code for Sustainable Buildings. (BREEAM is a UK measurement rating for green buildings, the Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method).

An analysis of the Grand Canal offices’ predicted energy use compared to a five-year-old office block with standard air conditioning shows that energy costs will be reduced by 60 per cent and tenants will save €200,000 annually.

Law firm Byrne Wallace has just moved in to 14,000sq m (150,694sq ft) of offices at Grand Canal Square; solicitors William Fry will occupy an adjoining 11,300sq m (121,632sq ft) block. A further 17,000sq m (182,986sq ft) is available through agents Bannon and HT Meagher O’Reilly.

Three new shops in Pavilions

THREE new traders – The Perfume Shop, Meteor and Early Learning Centre – are to move into The Pavilions shopping centre in Swords, Co Dublin. Centre manager Ian Hunter said their agents were in discussions with a number of fashion traders looking for outlets.
