In a night that shimmered with digital brilliance, the 27th annual Spider Awards illuminated the Mansion House in Dublin, honouring the brightest stars of Ireland’s digital landscape. Among them, Annertech-bigO emerged triumphant, clinching the prestigious Grand Prix Award for their remarkable collaboration on the National Library of Ireland’s new website.
Stella Power, managing director of Annertech, described the win as “amazing”, underscoring the significance of the Spiders as the pinnacle of digital recognition, often likened to the revered Oscars. Their victory, coupled with their other accolade for Best in Universal Design, solidifies their position as leaders in digital innovation.
Annertech-bigO was not alone in the winner’s circle. Granite, renowned for its exceptional prowess in enterprising digital marketing, claimed the title of Best Large Agency of the Year.
Their trailblazing campaigns, coupled with innovative website designed e-commerce solutions, earned them additional recognition with the Best in E-Commerce award for their bespoke solution tailored for Element Whiskey.

Sligo based StoryLab soared to success, seizing the top prize for Small Agency of the Year, showcasing the diverse talent thriving across Ireland’s digital landscape. Other winners included; Core Optimisation, MXB Agency, Brown Thomas Arnotts and the Central Bank of Ireland, all exemplified excellence in their respective fields.
The Spider Awards also highlighted the power of collaboration and partnership. With One4all leading as the headline partner, alongside esteemed collaborators Deloitte Digital, Magnet+ and Skillnet Ireland, Centre for Excellence in Design NDA, Onclusive, UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School, Aspire PR and Olytico demonstrating a collective commitment to digital excellence. The Spiders organisers also partnered with Unicef to support its humanitarian efforts in Gaza.

Two new categories, The Cultural Driver Award and the Sustainability Impact Award, reflected the evolving priorities within the digital sphere, recognising innovators like Edelman for their work with SSE Airtricity and Electric Ireland Superhomes for their ground-breaking work.
From Best App to Best Brand, each award category showcased the diverse talents driving Ireland’s digital renaissance. The Very Group took home the Best Brand award, and Best Use of Disruptive Technology went to Future Proof Insights for AIG.
Notable winners included Deloitte Digital for Brown Thomas, VITHIT for Best Storytelling, and Lorg Media for TG4 in the Best in Social Media category. and the Digital for Good Award was taken home by Strikepay.
Core Optimisation won Best Collaboration for its work with Failte Ireland, while Real Time Digital and Henderson Group took home the Best Consumer Campaign for its work with Spar & Eurospar NI.
