Rugby: Ulster coach Brian McLaughlin says his side need to "eradicate those individual errors" that cost them points in the Heineken Cup defeat to Leicester at Welford Road last weekend.

Ulster are back in league action this weekend when they travel to Firhill Stadium to take on Glasgow Warriors on tomorrow evening (7.35pm).

McLaughlin will rest four players for the game, with Rory Best and Stephen Ferris sidelined in line with the IRFU’s player management programme, and Chris Henry and Craig Gilroy having played all 10 games so far this season.

Best and Ferris will be replaced by Andi Kyriacou and Robbie Diack respectively, while Willie Faloon comes in to the backrow for Henry and Adam D’Arcy takes Gilroy’s place in a move that sees Simon Danielli move the wing.

Tim Barker, Mike McComish and Ian Whitten are all named among the replacements.

“Whenever you’re playing a Scottish side you’ve got to make your breakdown as accurate and as positive as possible,” said McLaughlin today. “They’ll be all over you like a rash so we’ve got to make sure that we’re clinical in there and that we’re producing the ball.

“The other thing is that with Scottish sides buzzing about all over the place, you’ve got to make sure you keep their forwards all in one place as much as possible. We’ve talked about varying little things, varying our lineouts and what we’re doing off them. Hopefully that will help us as the game progresses.”

He added: “Welford Road at the weekend was annoying. We had everything more or less right but we just made little areas at crucial time which cost us. We played through some fantastic phases but made mistakes in crucial areas. If we’re going to go on and get to where we want to be as a team then we’ve got to eradicate those individual errors.”

Glasgow are fourth in the PRO12 having won their last four league matches, while Ulster are seventh, five points adrift.

However, the visitors will approach the game in confidence after winning five of their last six against Scottish opponents and beating Glasgow 28-14 at home in September.
