Damien Richardson returns to the Eircom League at Finn Park this evening where his Cork City side will steal a march on his old club in the opening round of games if they can beat newly-promoted Finn Harps.

Richardson insists the target for City is not just to press Shelbourne but to be champions. "On paper they've the strongest squad but you have to believe you can not just match but outstrip them in the title race otherwise the whole exercise would be futile," he says.

City are without the suspended Greg O'Halloran and Denis Behan (knee), while Felix Healy will be without Anthony Gorman and Seán McGowan (suspended).

In the night's other game Longford Town are without the suspended Stephen Paisley, John Martin and Eric Lavine and Andy Myler and Alan Murphy through injury - while Waterford United travel to Flancare Park without Neil Andrews (suspended), John Frost and Daryl Murphy (both injured).
