The Elm Park combination of Brendan Lynch and Geraldine Kilmurray will be defending their title when the Gilbeys-sponsored Rathfarnham golf club Captains Mixed matchplay begins next Sunday at Rathfarnham. Now in its 28th year, the Gilbeys matchplay has attracted entries from 35 clubs in the Dublin area. Rathfarnham, who celebrated their centenary last year, are also in the process of extending their course with the construction of five new holes under the watchful eye of Paddy Merrigan.
