Saturday's gutsy performance against Bray epitomised the team's character as Longford held on in the closing stages despite being reduced to 10 men.

The sending off came in the 51st minute when centre half Barry Ferguson was sent for an early shower by referee Dave McKeon after he fouled Stephen Fox just outside the penalty area.

Longford went in front just three minutes before half-time when Séamus Crowe crossed for Eric Lavine to head home his seventh league goal of the season.
