SCHOOLS INTERPROVINCIAL RUGBY UNDER-18/Munster Under-18 12 Leinster Under-18 34:LEINSTER ROMPED past a disappointing Munster in their Under-18 schools interprovincial at Thomond Park yesterday.

By half-time Leinster led 13-6 and Munster were in contention to follow up their win against Connacht. While the form Leinster showed in blitzing Ulster 68-5 last week was not entirely repeated on this occasion, they fully deserved their win.

They scored four tries and might have had a few more, with winger James McCormack called back after he touched down, but he got a consolation by scoring his side’s final try. Fullback Billy Dardis, wing Cormac Brennan and centre Fergal Cleary all had tries for the visitors.

Outhalf Ross Byrne converted all four tries and also landed two penalties, while outhalf Gearóid Lyons kicked four penalties for Munster, two in each half.
