Keane can alter Leeds' record

Robbie Keane believes he has become a marked man in the eyes of the officials, but is adamant he is no cheat

Robbie Keane believes he has become a marked man in the eyes of the officials, but is adamant he is no cheat. Keane flew out to Zurich with the rest of the Leeds squad ahead of tonight's first-leg clash with Grasshoppers still shaking his head in disbelief at a decision during Sunday's 2-0 defeat at Sunderland.

Leeds were chasing the game at the Stadium of Light when Keane was clearly tripped in the penalty area by Bernt Haas, but instead of being awarded the expected spot-kick, referee Graham Barber instead chose to book the Republic of Ireland striker for diving.

Mark Halsey was of the same mind after he too booked Keane for a similar offence in a game at Charlton two months ago, even though television replays again proved the 22-year-old had been harshly treated. "I seem to have become a marked man with referees and I don't know why to be honest," said Keane.

Keane is confident the defeat is out of their system and their focus is firmly on the Swiss champions.
