Gourley and Cavlan to start for Tyrone

Mickey Harte makes three changes for Sunday's Ulster football final in Clones

Mickey Harte makes three changes for Sunday's Ulster football final in Clones.Ciarán Gourley comes in at full back in place of the injured Cormac McGinley.

Stephen O'Neill is still troubled by hamstring and knee problems, but is included on the bench. He has yet to start a championship match in the current series.

However, Tyrone have been boosted by the availability of Gerard Cavlan, who had been struggling with a hamstring injury, but is named at left half forward in place of Enda McGinley.

Kevin Hughes moves from midfield to take over at full forward from Colm Cavanagh, with Joe McMahon coming in to partner Seán Cavanagh.

Mayo manager John O'Mahony meanwhile makes two changes to the team that defeated Cavan for tomorrow's trip to Celtic Park to take on Derry in the second round of the qualifiers.

The right flank of the defence is changed with Aidan Higgins and Peadar Gardiner dropping out and under-21 Tom Cunniffe coming in at corner back with David Heaney reverting to wing back and Pat Harte, suspended for the Cavan match, returning at centrefield. Both Gardiner and Higgins had been replaced in last weekend's match.

Derry footballers have made just one change, bringing in Barry Gillis in place of last week's goalkeeper Shane O'Kane.

Kildare have given the side that defeated Roscommon in the first round of the qualifiers a vote of confidence for the next round against Louth. Dermot Earley isn't yet ready to start after injury.

Fermanagh make one change for their All-Ireland qualifier clash with Meath in Navan tomorrow. James Sherry, who scored the goal in the first round defeat of Wexford, makes way for Tom Brewster at centre forward.

All Star full back Barry Owens has passed a fitness test and will start after being replaced last Saturday with an ankle injury.

Cork hurlers are unchanged for the match against Tipperary in Thurles, which will decide the winners of the qualifier group.

After last weekend's big win against an Offaly team Tipperary were lucky to beat, Gerald McCarthy's men will be favourites to nail down the coveted All-Ireland quarter-final spot against Wexford.

Finally, Paul O'Dowd will be taking a break from a hectic Ulster final weekend to host a Gaelic football goalkeeping clinic in Dublin tomorrow, starting at 9.30am. The former 1997 Ulster final winning Cavan goalkeeper has recently set aside a career in teaching to concentrate fully on coaching.

This Sunday he will be in Séamus McEnaney's backroom team, as he is Monaghan's goalkeeping coach and has worked with Shane Duffy throughout the championship.

Tomorrow at 9.30am O'Dowd will be back in St Oliver Plunketts/Eoghan Ruadh club on Dublin's northside. More details can be got from O'Dowd's website www.goalkeeping.ie or by phoning 087 8308817.
