Got One Too is napped

Take Got One Too to improve Nicky Henderson's already impressive record in the £110,000 Tote Gold Trophy at Newbury today.

Take Got One Too to improve Nicky Henderson's already impressive record in the £110,000 Tote Gold Trophy at Newbury today.

The Lambourn trainer has won the competitive handicap three times in the last four years with Sharpical (1998), Geos (2000) and Landing Light last year. This time Henderson has four runners. They are Tysou, Regal Exit, Got One Too and Lady Boston.

Mick Fitzgerald's mount, Got One Too, looks the pick. The five-year-old gelding, normally a front runner, posted a career-best effort at Ascot last month when he was held up by John Kavanagh.

The new tactics did no harm at all as he came home a nine-length winner from Irish raider Lisaan after taking the measure of eventual third Benbyas at the penultimate flight. Got One Too is still a novice but at Ascot was scoring for the fourth time this season. He is clearly still on the upgrade and merits the nap selection when he may have most to fear from Irish challenger The Gatherer.

Arthur Moore's eight-year-old enjoyed a confidence booster when cruising home in a four-runner event at Leopardstown last month which will have put him spot on for the Newbury feature.

Henderson also has a strong hand in the £60,000 Aon Chase with Bacchanal and Marlborough. And it can be Cheltenham Gold Cup hope Bacchanal who can emerge victorious. He will relish the soft underfoot conditions and judged on his fine third to Florida Pearl and Best Mate in the Pertemps King George VI Chase he is still improving.

Lady Cricket showed on her reappearance at Cheltenham last month that she is as good as ever when failing by one and a quarter lengths to peg back Foly Pleasant. And she can take advantage of the 9lb she receives from the very useful Fadalko to land the attheraces.co.uk Game Spirit Chase.

Today's scheduled Catterick meeting was abandoned yesterday.
