Pundits and politicians kept in check by Hannigan and Lord

Sir, – With a keen interest in sport and politics, it is great to have Mary Hannigan back in action following her short break. I missed her uncanny ability to pick up on incorrect sporting predictions and statements made by pundits on the various networks.

Should they happen to read Mary’s comments, many of these so-called experts would bury their heads in their hands as she brightens our day highlighting differing opinions.

Also missed is Miriam Lord due to the Dáil and Seanad being in recession. Another expert in her field not shy to put our politicians back in their respective boxes with appraisals of performance and highlighting irrational statements. With so much bad news it is great to enjoy what these two ladies regularly contribute. Long may they continue in their respective roles. – Yours, etc,
