Nottingham Forest's Dutch rebel Pierre van Hooijdonk is on his way back to the City Ground after picking up the phone and arranging a meeting with manager Dave Bassett and club captain Steve Chettle.

Van Hooijdonk has been on strike since August, but after talks with club director Irving Scholar in Monaco last Wednesday he has decided to call an end to his dispute.

"It's time for this to come to an end. Nobody has won, not me or the football club," he said.
