Bristol battle for good cause

Leinster rugby's first visitors arrive in Donnybrook from Bristol this afternoon - by bicycle

Leinster rugby's first visitors arrive in Donnybrook from Bristol this afternoon - by bicycle. Twenty cyclists set off from Bristol on Thursday in an effort to raise money for the rugby charity PROPS, which provides support for special needs children.

The Leinster link comes from Brian O'Riordan, the province's former scrum-half, now playing in Bristol .

"I'm delighted that Bristol, my adopted club and Leinster, my home province, are assisting in promoting this tremendous charity," says O'Riordan.

The cyclists, having travelled through Swansea, Fishguard, Rosslare and Bray, are due to arrive in Donnybrook mid-afternoon Sunday. More details are available on www.leinsterrugby.com and on www.justgiving.com/props.
