Beckham has a way with words

It is a "uniquely sophisticated, gorgeously designed memento of this incredible icon of his time"

It is a "uniquely sophisticated, gorgeously designed memento of this incredible icon of his time". Heat magazine certainly know how to plug a book and going by the sales you might think that David Beckham's book My World is something special.

Given his comments in interviews for both Manchester United and England, you would query, despite an educated right foot, how he could conjure up so many words of sophistication.

Still, this week Beckham's book has become Britain's number one bestseller knocking The Beatles Anthology off the top of the book charts. My World was published three weeks ago with 200,000 copies in print and with one reprint.

The news of Beckham's number one comes in a week when his wife Victoria is also number one in the British singles charts with her fellow Spice Girls. They have achieved their ninth number one making them the most successful British band in history after The Beatles. This couldn't really be happening, could it?
