Sir, – Dave Robbie is correct in stating that water is indeed not a scarce resource (July 20th).
What is scarce is a reliable, leak-free and universal system to deliver potable water to your tap.
This is where the scarcity lies, caused by lack of political will and feeble planning. The cure, water charges, as paid in all normal societies, is of course political suicide. – Yours, etc,
