Sir, – Finn McRedmond ("Come on you fascinatingly boring England!", Opinion, June 24th) stated that we should get behind England in Euro 2020. She wrote that she would be supporting England. I wonder has she changed her mind by now?
The jingoistic hype emanating from England and the English media is unbelievable.
If England win, 55 years of pain will be replaced with 100 years of insufferable gloating. So Ms McRedmond, all I can say is “forza Italia”.
