Spring and embracing hope

Sir, – Rising at 6:30am yesterday, I had the pleasure of walking along Bray promenade. The air was crisp and the weather was clear and dry.

Looking out towards the sea, a gilded sun was peeping up from the water and spreading its golden rays. The sun glinted on the windows of the buildings along the seashore, including the many nursing and retirement homes where, thankfully, the residents and staff have received or are scheduled to receive their Covid vaccine.

There was hope in the air and it was a good thing to embrace. – Yours, etc,
