Show me the way to go home

Sir, – Well done to Kilkenny County Council on making certain streets in the centre of their beautiful city one-way and giving the freed-up space over to pedestrians (and not exclusively to cyclists as is the norm in my footpath-starved native city).

But it’s a shame that they omitted to install any direction signs or road markings so that visitors can find their way around the resulting detours. – Yours, etc,
