Madam, – Those photographs of the humpback whale (taken by Pádraig Whooley, Irish Whale and Dolphin Group, Home News, January 26th) are truly inspirational.
If that behemoth of the sea can lift himself clear of water, surely I can rise out of the Slough of Despond (economy, weather, reality TV, etc) and attend to the excess blubber acquired over the festive season and Big Freeze hibernation. Where’s my walking stick? – Yours, etc,
