Sir, – One cannot but admire the tremendous PR job the Government has done in the run-up to this year’s budget. Three weeks ago pensioners, struggling with the cost-of-living crisis, were worried they were only going to receive a €10 increase in the budget. Today those same pensioners are relieved to hear they will be receiving a €10 increase. – Yours, etc,
