Sir, – Reports that Ukraine has rejected an offer of Ireland’s fleet of light tactical armoured vehicles is hardly surprising given their reliability issues (“Ukraine refuses Irish offer of armoured vehicles,“ News, July 1st).

It would possibly be more beneficial to the Ukrainians if we gifted them to the Russians instead. – Yours, etc,
