Sir, – The logic of driving large vehicles through our motorways during morning traffic escapes me. Those protesting against the current price of fuel are actually using up the resource that is scarce and likely to become scarcer. They are demanding further financial assistance from the State while ensuring the same State will suffer financially for the loss of productivity due to the inability of people to attend their places of work.
Hopefully, the Government will not reward such behaviour. The world is on the cusp of extinction and we all need to think beyond our own needs. – Yours, etc,

Sir, – What will Tuesday’s fuel protests have achieved, other than to deplete precious supplies and drive up prices even further? Fuel is both expensive and scarce due to circumstances way outside our control. Wasting precious supplies inching along in protest convoys is a futile exercise. – Yours, etc,

Sir, – Have we as a people completely lost the plot? There is a terrible war on in eastern Europe and the Middle East. Men women and children are being anilihated by Russian, Israeli and American bombs.
Our lives here are being affected by increase in fuel costs which of course have conquences for those working in transport etc and I believe we should be prioritising those workers.
However, our energies would be better directed towards protesting against those who are trying to ruin our humanity and our world. We are very lucky to live in a country where drones only deliver parcels. Yours, etc.
