A chara, – Recently, when I was travelling on a crowded Luas, I saw a young student leap to his feet when he saw an elderly lady struggling to board. As she came close to where he was sitting he offered her his seat, which she robustly refused and in a loud voice announced, “I will not be 69 you know until my next birthday!”
Here we have amazing contrasts – the kindness of a young man and the lady who did not wish to grow old. – Yours, etc,
