Northbound trains from Connolly Station in Dublin will be severely disrupted for twelve weekends until September to allow the replacement of a bridge on East Wall Road.

DART, suburban and Belfast services will be affected, Iarnród Éireann said adding that weekday commuters would not be disrupted.

East Wall Bridge has been hit 104 times by high vehicles since 1985, meaning the structure has to be replaced for safety reasons.

The work - costing an estimated €20 million - will start at 11 a.m. on March 29th, Good Friday, and will be finished in the middle of September.

During the work, DART and northbound suburban services will operate with bus transfers between Clontarf Road station and Tara Street Station. The Belfast service will operate with a bus transfer between Drogheda, Co Louth and Dublin Connolly.
