Witches cast spell on phone mast

London - A witches' coven performed a pagan ritual yesterday in the hope that by harnessing nature's forces it could stop plans to locate a mobile phone mast near an ancient landmark. The coven evoked the spirits of earth, air, fire and water in an attempt to block a planning application by Vodafone beside the Long Man of Wilmington in East Sussex.
