Why lizards walk on water

LONDON - Scientists said yesterday that they had discovered the secret of lizards which walk on water. A Harvard team said basilisk lizards could skim across the water because each time their legs touched the surface, they created a series of underwater air cavities large enough to support the tiny creatures' weight.
