A major Garda operation that lasted for more than 20 hours was brought to a conclusion yesterday in Co Wexford when armed gardaí forced their way into a house where a man had been holed up. The man, in his 30s, was arrested and questioned.
The incident began at about 6pm on Monday when the man shut his parents out of the family home at Old Boley, Barntown, Co Wexford.
His parents became concerned for his welfare and rang gardaí.
