Wardens take to Belfast's buses

Bus-hopping traffic wardens are on their way to Belfast

Bus-hopping traffic wardens are on their way to Belfast. Wardens are to travel by public transport, hopping on and off at bus-stops to issue fixed-penalty notices on illegally parked vehicles.

The move is part of a crackdown on illegal parking, with motorists caught parking at bus stops facing a fixed penalty fine of £20. New high-visibility road markings for bus stops are also being introduced, making them impossible to miss.
