Geneva - The UN Secretary General, Mr Kofi Annan, presented a report in Geneva yesterday to a UN conference on social development, outlining seven interrelated goals for reducing global poverty.

The goals cover health issues, education, equality between the sexes, child and maternal mortality rates, reproductive medicine and the environment. Entitled A Better World for All the report is in response to a request from the G-8 industrialised countries who will meet at the end of July in Okinawa, Japan.
