Two men escape after Co Wexford robbery

Two armed men in boiler suits and balaclavas robbed a post office in Kilmuckridge, Co Wexford, this morning.

Two armed men in boiler suits and balaclavas robbed a post office in Kilmuckridge, Co Wexford, this morning.

Staff and customers were held up by two men at around 9.25 a.m. One was armed with a shotgun and the other had a sledgehammer.  Gardaí said both had Dublin accents.

A quantity of cash from the post office, and the purses of two customers were stolen. No shots were fired and there were no injuries during the raid.

The raiders escaped from the scene in a Silver VW Passat that headed toward Blackwater.
