Police investigating the snatching of a six-year-old girl from her bath in northern England last December have arrested a man and a woman.
The man (34) was detained on suspicion of abduction and serious sexual assault on Tuesday morning at an address in the Blyth area, around eight kilometres north of the girl's North Tyneside house in Wallsend.
The woman (25), from the North Tyneside area, was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to pervert the course of justice.
The girl was found distressed but safe around 15 minutes after she was reported missing from her home on the evening of December 27th.
Northumbria Police said at the time her abductor was "extremely dangerous" and had subjected the girl to a sexually motivated assault in his car.
They believe the man took the girl from a ground floor bathroom after entering from the back of her house in Willington Quay.
