Two people escaped uninjured when their helicopter crash-landed yesterday evening at Loughshinny in north Co Dublin

Two people escaped uninjured when their helicopter crash-landed yesterday evening at Loughshinny in north Co Dublin. A student pilot was on a training flight but was not at the controls when the private helicopter went down in a field behind Ballykaye power station near the small harbour.

The pilot reported engine trouble before crash-landing shortly after 7.30 p.m. Air traffic crash investigators were conducting an inquiry into the incident last night.
