London - Commercial television in Britain is screening too many programmes about sex, watchdogs charged yesterday. The criticism came in the Independent Television Commission's annual review of commercial channels.

Sex-based programmes over the past 12 months have included Vice: The Sex Trade on ITV; Channel 5's Sex And Shopping and other programmes; and the Channel 4 series Erotica.
