Ireland football manager Giovanni Trapattoni and assistant manager Marco Tardelli are to visit Croagh Patrick on April 28th, less than a month before their departure for Euro 2012.

The pair will be there to support Taoiseach Enda Kenny who is taking part in Enda’s Trek with Trap’s Green Army, a fundraising event for Mayo Mountain Rescue, the John Giles Foundation, Mayo and Roscommon Hospice, the Western Alzheimer’s Association and the Western Care Association.

The trek will leave from Murrisk at midday, when Trapattoni and Tardelli will be there to wave climbers off.

Participants, who are urged to wear green, can make a €20 donation to support the five charities
