Police tonight arrested three men and recovered a substantial sum of money after a kidnapping and robbery in Belfast.
Officers were told yesterday that a man had been taken hostage in the city.
His sister, a bank employee, was ordered to take a large amount of cash to a man at an undisclosed location.
The kidnap victim was freed and though shaken, was safe and well.
Police yesterday afternoon searched a house in north Belfast where they arrested three men. Officers also recovered a large amount of money.
Detectives last night said the three men were helping them with their inquiries and the officers appealed for anyone with information to come forward.
