Three charged with possession of guns in Derry

A man and two women in Derry have been charged with the possession of firearms with intent to endanger life.

A man and two women in Derry have been charged with the possession of firearms with intent to endanger life.

The charges relate to a police operation on the city's Letterkenny Road on Friday in which two handguns were found in a car.

A fourth man arrested in the operation has been released without charge pending a police report, a PSNI spokeswoman said.

The other three are due before Derry Magistrates Court at 10.30 tomorrow morning.
