Kisangani - Rwandan and Ugandan forces agreed to a ceasefire yesterday in the Congolese city of Kisangani after two days of fierce fighting, UN officials have said.

UN observers based in the city said the ceasefire, the third the UN has tried to broker so far, was to have taken effect around 7 p.m. (1700 GMT).
