Taxing question

Quidnunc's nomination for Most Taxing Challenge of 1999 goes to Jack Murray, appointed this week as press officer of the Progressive Democrats. Apart from the hazards of working with the notoriously short-tempered Mary Harney, he will have to spin-doctor an ailing patient. A native of Ballinasloe, he has a marketing degree and a post-graduate degree in journalism. He has written for Magill, Business Plus and that house organ of the Pee Dees, the Big Issues.
