Talks between Northern Ireland Secretary Dr John Reid and loyalist residents in the Ardoyne area who staged protests last week have been put back until Tuesday evening.
The meeting, centring on disputes over the route Catholic children were taking to get to the Holy Cross Primary School, was originally due to take place tomorrow.
"The meeting was originally planned for tomorrow night but two members of the residents' delegation were unable to attend and it was rescheduled for the following evening," a spokesman for the Northern Ireland Office said.
"A meeting with Holy Cross school authorities and Catholic community representatives had already taken place," he added.
Dr Reid, meanwhile is to discuss the Holy Cross situation and wider peace process issues with US President George Bush's special envoy to Northern Ireland, Mr Richard Haass, in London tomorrow morning.
