Greek Cypriot President Tassos Papadopoulos said today bilateral talks with Turkish Cypriots on a peace deal had reached no agreement and would now move to Switzerland where Turkey and Greece would join them.

"At this phase of talks there has not been any significant progress, in any case, not on issues of substance," he said.

Greek and Turkish Cypriots are trying to agree on a UN peace plan that would reunify their island before it joins the European Union on May 1st.
