Suspect device found in Dublin

Tests are to be carried out today on a suspect device that was found in Castleknock, west Dublin, last night.

Tests are to be carried out today on a suspect device that was found in Castleknock, west Dublin, last night.

An army team was called in after the suspected homemade bomb was discovered in a lunch box behind a wall at Somerton Road at around 7.00pm.

The area was sealed off, and the device was made safe before being removed for examination.

It is understood gardaí believe it was left for collection to be used elsewhere.
