Yippee - somewhere civilised to go late at night when another drink is an imperative rather than an option. Chef and restaurateur Conrad Gallagher has teamed up with Gavin Lambe-Murphy to open up Lloyds Brasserie as an official members' club late at night. From this weekend, which is also (surprise, surprise) the first birthday party of Lloyds, the Merrion Street restaurant will be opening its doors from 11 p.m. and serving supper until 1 a.m. However, before you all go staggering through the doors tonight, the bad news is that the club is strictly members only and no amount of cash in brown paper bags will buy you a magic card. The list has been drawn up by Gavin and Conrad, who, it seems, is rather interested in the whole supper club idea and might just consider opening a whole new venue if this one takes off.
