Khartoum - Sudanese government forces yesterday recaptured the south-western town of Deim Zoubeir from the rebel Sudan People's Liberation Army, state radio reported.

The radio, reporting a statement from the general command of the armed forces, said government troops inflicted heavy losses on the SPLA rebels.
